Basic troubleshooting steps for Roku

Clear cache / data on Roku

Clear system cache: from the Home screen press Home 5 times, then Up, Rewind twice, Fast-forward twice. The Roku clears its cache and restarts.

Clear app data: highlight the channel, press Star (*) > Remove channel, then re-add it from the Channel Store.

Delete app on Roku

1. Press Home button.

2. Highlight the channel (app).

3. Press Star (*) > Remove channel.


Install app on Roku

1. Press Home button.

2. Select Streaming Channels.

3. Search and Add channel.

Update App on Roku

Apps on Roku update automatically. To force: Home → Settings → System → System update → Check Now.

Update Roku Software

1.Press the Home button home on the Roku remote.

2. Scroll up or down and select Settings.

3.Select System.

4.Select Remove Channel (app).

4.Select System update.

5.Select Check Now to check for updates

Turn off Roku TV

1.Press the power putton on the remote to the device off.

2. Wait 10 seconds, press power button to turn the device on.

Unplug Roku

Unplug Roku TV or Roku device from the power source.

Restart Modem

1.Unplug modem from wall.

2.Wait 1 full minute.

3.Plug modem into wall, wait a few minutes for modem to reconnect to the internet.

Restart Roku

1.From the Home screen go down to settings.

2. Go to System

3.Go to Power.

3.Go to System Restart.

4.Click OK on Restart.

5.The Roku then take about 15 seconds to restart.
